Surprise Beach Proposal
It's almost been a year since I had the honor of doing my first proposal. When Dylan reached out to me, I embarrassingly, thought it might have been a bot or something. He had mentioned he was an Olympic water polo player. Surely, an Olympic BRONZE MEDALIST wasn't reaching out to lil ole me in Sonoma County! My kids and I had just spent the last few weeks fully invested in the Summer Olympics, so I was a little star-struck to have a real life Olympic athlete in our midst.
Dylan and I quickly connected and found out we both have the same favorite beach at Bodega Bay. It was perfect. He told me his love story, the story behind the customized ring for his soon-to-be fiancé. We continued to stay in contact and scheme for the proposal day.
It was so exhilarating to be part of the secret. I was also semi-terrified to miss the moment. I enlisted my sister to join me as my assistant and thank goodness, because she created the perfect decoy and provided some of my favorite BTS.
As Dylan and Hannah walked down the beach, I got soooo giddy. I had sent Dylan a picture of my location so he knew when to stop, my sister signaled to me when I needed to turn around and I started snapping away.
Everything was perfect, the weather, the ocean, the couple... GOREGEOUS! They way I get to witness love through this job, is absolutely why I do this, keep the hopeless romantic heart of my beating.
10/10 recommend hiring a photographer, and I'd love to be your gal!
